Catchment loads and reductions

To understand the achievability and economic impact of proposed sediment attribute bottom lines, modelling was used to identify the absolute and proportional suspended sediment load reductions achievable under three erosion mitigation scenarios for catchments identified as requiring sediment load reductions to meet the proposed bottom lines. This file provides the Nzeem® -based data from Neverman et al. (2019) on baseline sediment loads, required absolute reductions in sediment load to meet sediment bottom lines (based on proportional reductions calculated by Hicks et al., 2019), and the effect of Whole Farm Plans, Afforestation, and Riparian Exclusion in reducing sediment loads for the 585 catchments identified by Hicks et al. (2019) as needing a sediment load reduction to meet proposed sediment bottom lines. The file also contains the load reductions calculated using Nzeem® achieved by economic optimisation of the distribution of Whole Farm Plans and Afforestation as modelled by NZFARM (see Neverman et al., 2019).
